BBL 2026-27 opens with seven scheduled games in seven days

BasketLive24 already stores 26 future BBL fixtures. The first seven fall between 18 and 20 September, starting with Alba Berlin vs Chemnitz.

BasketLive24 lists a 2026-27 BBL season from 18 September 2026 to 9 May 2027. The previous stored season ran 26 September 2025 to 21 June 2026 and already contains 338 finished BBL games. The new file is still almost entirely ahead of us: 26 BBL games are currently scheduled.

The first week in the database

Seven of those scheduled games fall in the seven days after 13 September 2026. Ordered by start time they are:

  • 18 September, 18:00 UTC — Alba Berlin vs Chemnitz
  • 19 September, 16:30 UTC — Rostock vs Phoenix Hagen
  • 19 September, 16:30 UTC — Basketball Braunschweig vs Trier
  • 19 September, 18:00 UTC — Bonn vs Hamburg
  • 20 September, 13:00 UTC — Oldenburg vs Syntainics MBC
  • 20 September, 14:30 UTC — Ulm vs Ludwigsburg
  • 20 September, 16:00 UTC — Bayern vs Bamberg

The opening tip-off matches the stored season start date. Bayern vs Bamberg closes this first cluster: first and third from the 2025-26 34-game table, 29–5 and 24–10.

What last season left in the archive

The 2025-26 snapshot remains the only ready BBL table. It is a completed 18-team, 34-game file. The 338 finished BBL games in our games table include that regular season and the later May–June results already used in Alba Berlin’s finishing run. The new season rows have no scores yet.

A second competition sits just behind it

Euroleague has 25 scheduled games in the same database. Seven of them are listed on 24 September 2026, including Dubai vs Real Madrid, Hapoel Tel-Aviv vs Bayern, and Barcelona vs Anadolu Efes. That is a one-day cluster, not a BBL fact, and we record it only as contrast: BBL’s first seven games are spread across three dates, Euroleague’s first seven stored games share one date.

What BasketLive24 will update

This is a schedule update, not a form guide for 2026-27. No 2026-27 standings snapshot exists yet. When these seven games change status, the match pages and the BBL game counts will move with them. Until then the honest public record is seven scheduled openers and a completed 2025-26 table sitting behind them.
